Why did you want to be a part of Black Girl Festival?
I felt it was necessary to be a part of Black Girl Fest, as it caters for my ideal customer. I previously heard really great things about the event & I could no longer wait to be a part of it.
How was being a vendor at the festival?
It was an amazing experience vending at the festival, I was overwhelmed by the response my products received, It felt great being able to target my ideal audience. I & my staff were rushed off our feet. The event was of a very high standard & was organised really well from the beginning to the very end, all the staff were very friendly & extremely helpful.
What was it like being surrounded by other businesses owned by Black British women?
As a black woman growing up in the UK I have never experienced an event like this, the vibe was so uplifting & positive. I couldn’t put into words how overwhelmed I felt being in a room full of like-minded black business doing/ selling really great products for us!
It was great to be able to network so many amazing women, it defiantly has given me more confidence in my business.
What does community mean to you?
Community to me is a sense of belonging, within a group who shares a common interest. I believe you can feel loved, connected & supported within a community.
