#InConversation with Reign x Shine

#BGFCommunity is our spotlight series featuring brands and businesses led by Black women and non-binary people

We met with Reign x Shine — a luxury wellness brand, created with black women in mind.

They share more about their experience starting a business, becoming a vendor at Black Girl Festival and their plans for growing the business.

How would you describe your brand/ business?

Reign x Shine is a luxury wellness brand, created with black women in mind. We run wellness retreats for black women and curate a self-care gift box which contains products from black-owned businesses. We even have a box for young girls! We are passionate about black women taking time for themselves, and focusing on their own wellbeing, in a safe space. It is time to start putting our wellbeing at the forefront.

Why did you want to be a part of Black Girl Festival?

We’d heard such wonderful things from vendors at Black Girl Fest 2018, that we just had to be involved this time!

How was being a vendor at the festival?

The experience was extremely validating and we can’t wait to do it again. The BGF team did a great job, and we met so many lovely black women and girls. We had meaningful conversations and shared lots of laughs.

What was it like being surrounded by other businesses owned by Black British women?

Amazing! Everyone was so friendly and supportive. The energy was genuinely really special.
